Specialist in high-precision valves and instrumentation for the industrial mining and process sectors, Omsa Valves & Instrumentation, has launched the new GEMÜ 1235 electrical position indicator, which offers a solution for linear pneumatic process valves of all makes, types and sizes.
The company says the compact position indicator is quick, safe and simple to mount. In addition, it is adjustable without the need for tooling.
Further, it is enclosed in a chemically resistant housing with no need to open the cover for adjustments, and with instructions printed on the cover. The indicator can be set with minimum effort, saving on installation and connection time.
The position indicator is international protection rating 67 protected and can be used even under contaminated environmental conditions. Electrical connection occurs with a five-pole M12 plug connector.
The readiness state, the position of the valve and the programming mode are indicated with light emitting diodes. Even after lengthy power failures, the indicator retains its programmed settings.
A continuously operating long-life travel sensor measures the valve position. This means that a rigid mechanical connection with the valve spindle is no longer necessary.
The company says this technology is proven in a variety of applications, such as food and beverage applications, brewing processes, filling machine manufacturing and platinum processing for the catalytic industry.
Its distinguishing feature, however, is its ease of use and safe operation. The device can be individually adjusted with one hand without any tools and without opening the housing.
